Are our deceased loved ones able to send us messages from heaven? Two experts in the field, Bill and Judy Guggenheim, argue that this is possible and these communications are more common than you think.
Over the course of their seven years of research, the pair spoke with over 2,000 people who claimed to have had an experience that they refer to as “afterlife communication.”
They estimate that at least 60 million people, or 20% of the U.S. population, have had such an experience. According to other polls, the number is significantly higher.

2. Poltergeist activity
A poltergeist, which is a German word that literally translates to “pounding ghost,” is a troublesome or even annoying spirit.

There is no better way for the spirits to communicate with us than through our dreams because there they can convey very direct messages.
When we are asleep, for some reason, the barrier that normally separates the spirit world from our consciousness is the thinnest.
Spirits can plant thoughts and questions more directly through your dreams. Dreams involving spirits are often very intense.
Keeping a diary next to your bed will allow you to write down any important dreams you may have.
5. Extrasensory perceptions
This kind of perception can be defined in many ways. In this situation, it’s as if the spirits of our lives put ideas into our heads before we can have them.
Thoughts, questions, and even foresight can enter our minds with little explanation.
6. Hear a voice
Very common is the experience of hearing the voices of the deceased. While some people hear an external, audible voice, many claim that the voice comes from within.
This is not merely a fleeting thought; it is an inner voice. Those who have had this phenomenon happen to them say that the voice they hear belongs to a separate entity and that the voice isn’t theirs.
This voice, at times, sounds very similar to the one of the deceased. Other times, it’s indescribable, comforting, and otherworldly.
After the passing of a loved one, you might feel a comforting touch from someone, such as a pat on the back or even a hug from a stranger. This helps ease your grief.
This is one of the least common signs because very few of us can recognize someone’s touch. If you are married, you are probably familiar with the touch of your husband or wife.

8. Symbols
Many times, the spirits of our deceased loved ones communicate with us directly, by sending us simple signs that represent something bigger.
Butterflies, rainbows, birds, and flowers are the most frequent symbols, all of which are associated with feelings of love and joy.
You can also find coins and feathers. What distinguishes these observations as signs is the meaning of the object or the behavior of the bird or butterfly.
If it comes and lands on your hand, shoulder, or knee, that’s very different from just seeing a butterfly.
